Volga celebrates Community of the Year award
June 4, 2019Volga, SD was named Community of the Year by the South Dakota Governor’s Office of Economic Development earlier this year. They were set to receive their award at the annual GOED conference in April. However, Mother Nature had other ideas bringing in a fierce late winter storm, and for the first time, the conference was cancelled. City leaders decided to hold their own event to celebrate the community’s success.
