Lifetime Savings

Water heating is the second largest energy expense in your home, accounting for 14 to 18 percent of your utility bill. Purchasing an economical electric water heater provides long-term savings. Heartland Energy offers rebates on two types of electric water heaters.

Lifetime Warranty Electric Water Heaters

An electric water heater with a lifetime warranty is a great investment and provides exceptional value.

It will provide reliable hot water and is easy to maintain. Best of all, it will provide long-term savings. Extra insulation reduces standby heat loss, while high quality and durability produce a longer lasting tank.

Rebates are available for installing new, high-efficiency, lifetime warranty electric water heaters.

Qualifying Equipment

50 to 79 gallons:   $200 rebate

80+ gallons:          $400 rebate

Heat Pump Water Heaters

Heat pump water heaters use electricity to move heat from one place to another instead of generating heat directly. Therefore, they can be two to three times more energy efficient than conventional electric resistance water heaters. To move the heat, heat pumps work like a refrigerator in reverse.

Heat pump water heaters that have earned the ENERGY STAR label are eligible for a $400 rebate from Heartland Energy.

You may also qualify for a tax credit of up to 30% of the cost of the water heater, up to $2,000.
