Heartland renews pledge to Madison Regional Health Foundation

For the past five years, Heartland Consumers Power District has donated $5,000 each year to the Madison Regional Health Foundation, and now Heartland and CEO Russell Olson have pledged to continue their support of local healthcare. Heartland has again pledged $25,000 over the next five years to the Madison Regional Health Foundation.

“This shows great community leadership and dedication to health and wellness in the Madison and Lake County areas,” said MRHF Director Stephen Klekas. “Heartland’s donation will provide a positive impact for our patients and community as a whole. We are very thankful to Heartland for supporting the Madison Regional Health Foundation,” Klekas continued.

Heartland provides wholesale electric energy to municipal electric systems in South Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa and Nebraska. Headquartered in Madison, Heartland is a non-profit, public power utility dedicated to providing reliable, affordable power to customers. Heartland seeks to add value to the communities it serves through a variety of customer service programs including energy efficiency, economic development, and cybersecurity.

“Access to quality healthcare is of utmost importance, particularly in rural areas,” said Heartland CEO Russell Olson. “Heartland is proud to support local healthcare in the Madison community by giving to the Madison Regional Health Foundation.”
