The customer will make the application to Heartland Energy on behalf of its retail customer. The retail customer must have a minimum monthly bill of $100.00 to qualify.
The Heartland customer must submit a new business growth incentive form using the retail customer’s monthly KWh usage and total retail electric bill for rebate eligibility. Said customer must also include an expanding growth incentive form using the retail customer’s current year monthly KWh usage and total retail electric bill and their monthly KWh usage and total retail electric bill for the two previous years.
The addition of a new business or expansion of a current business MUST result in a corresponding increase in Heartland’s energy sales to its customer to receive full value of any of the incentives. Heartland Energy reserves the right to discontinue any payments should energy sales not increase year over year.
Heartland Energy as Full Supplemental Supplier: Required documentation will be the retail customer’s current power bill with that information filled out on a growth incentive form, and for expansion businesses, the appropriate previous bills with that information filled out on a growth incentive form. The district’s customer will provide the information to Heartland Energy.
Heartland Energy as Non-Full Supplemental Supplier: The Heartland Energy customer will provide the specific documentation to substantiate the Heartland Energy experienced a corresponding increase in its energy sales (specifically kilowatt-hours) to that customer.
Growth incentive payments from Heartland Energy will be made jointly to the Heartland Energy customer and the retail customer.
Heartland Energy reserves the right to make random spot audits to verify the accuracy of the information submitted for payments.
