New Ulm awarded economic development grant

July 31, 2015

The New Ulm, MN Economic Development Corporation is hoping a new display ad will help promote their community to site selectors and real estate developers.

The Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development sends an annual publication out to promote the state. Heartland recently awarded the New Ulm Economic Development Corporation a grant to help with the cost of a full-page color ad.

“Cities and states are always looking for new ways to promote themselves,” said Heartland Director of Economic Development Ryan Brown. “This ad will further New Ulm’s reach, letting site selectors nationwide know all the many benefits they have to offer.”

New Ulm’s ad touts the city’s many strengths, including their strong workforce, available properties and aggressive incentives.

Heartland provides grants to customers and their economic development corporations for projects that spark growth and development. A community project that promotes economic prosperity, supports new business opportunities or improves the social and economic well-being of local residents may qualify for the grant program. For more information, contact Ryan Brown at (605) 256-6536.
