    Protect employees with flame-resistant gear

    Heartland Energy customers have another opportunity to equip employees with high-quality personal protective equipment. Our flame-resistant clothing store is open at www.amarilcart.com as part of a multi-year safety initiative.

    Instructions, including login and purchase information, were recently emailed to eligible municipal employees. The store is open for a limited time, so orders should be made promptly.

    Heartland first introduced the store in January of 2024 to help protect customer employees who work on or around energized equipment. FR clothing keeps workers safe from suffering severe burn injuries. The specialized gear protects against electrical arcs, sparks, flames and other high-risk hazards. 

    It is a must-have for those in utility and electric departments. Since the program’s inception, Heartland has outfitted 63 employees across 19 communities with 141 protective items.

    “It is exciting to see so many municipal employees utilizing this program,” said Heartland Customer Relations Manager Kelly Dybdahl. “Safety should always be a top priority, and we are proud to help our customers protect their employees.”

    Heartland partnered with Amaril Uniform Company to provide the clothing. Items are co-branded with their community and Heartland Energy logos.

    This year’s store will see many of the same options as last year, with some new additions. Eligible employees are provided a monetary allocation to purchase items of their choosing. 

    “Every worker deserves to be safe on the job. FR clothing is one of the best ways to reduce risks and protect lives,” Dybdahl said.
